Desk clamp or freestanding cup holder for editing?
Compare edge access, desktop space and drink fit.

A clamp moves the drink off the top
VIVO’s MOUNT-CUP1 is an example of a clamp-on desk cup holder. That category needs a compatible edge, underside clearance and an appropriate drink shape. Check the exact product’s instructions and whether your desk has drawers, a bevel or a cable tray at the intended spot.
Steadi uses a clear resting area
A freestanding base avoids clamping or drilling but occupies desktop space. It moves with a compatible drink between suitable surfaces. It is not an insert for a desk cutout, and the 5.2-inch footprint should not be confused with the 2–3.15-inch drink-base range.
Choose by the constraint
If the entire desktop is a working surface, start with a separate table or an appropriate mounted solution. If a broad level area already sits within reach, Steadi may fit that arrangement. Neither approach makes electronics immune to liquid, and a product photo is not proof of spill prevention.
